As the Artistic Director and Vice President Ken oversees the ITP and ensemble programs and makes sure that Mosaic's artistic products have utmost integrity. He is also responsible for directing the Mosaic singers.
Ken was a founding member of Mosaic’s 1992 Youth Ensemble and joined the staff in 1998 as Mosaic’s music director. In addition to his work at Mosaic, Ken has taught vocal music, through the Detroit Recreation Department, the Arts Centered Education program of the Detroit Public Schools and The Arts Place summer youth employment program.
As a recent graduate of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s prestigious “Leadership Detroit”, Ken was featured on Detroit’s local ABC-TV affiliate, WXYZ-TV, “From the Heart” for his outstanding work with the Mosaic singers. Ken has received many awards and recognitions, including: being named by Crain’s Detroit Business one of the “Twenty in their 20s,” the “Spirit of Detroit” award, Jackson State University’s Vocal Scholar award and the Michigan State Vocal Association First Division Soloist award.
