Ensemble parents have always been Mosaic's strongest support, and their on-going dedication and efforts make Mosaic possible every day. We encourage parents to join Stage Families based on their interests, skills and availability, and give a minimum of 20 hours as a volunteer.  Each activity below needs a group of parents working together, focused and organized around that activity. We all depend on each other to maintain Mosaic's reputation for excellence in everything and to support all of our young artists throughout the year to make this a successful season.

Dinner Team
Team Captain: Deenise Walker
Organizes and serves food donations for healthy pot luck suppers on the extended rehearsal days that occur throughout the ensemble year.

Parent Liaison Team
Team Captain: Jacqueline Hollier
Group of parent committed to working closely with support staff to attend the various smaller performances of young artists throughout the season and serve as a primary contact onsite.  This team will also work to collect accurate information regarding Mosaic Alumni, track Alumni through other sources, locate as many Mosaic Alumni as possible, update information, correspond with Alumni on a regular basis regarding concerts, performances, and Alumni events at GMMT, and conduct possible Alumni Survey to gather statistics on Alumni and Alumni Achievements for reports to funders and website stories. Assist in keeping Alumni connected to one another as well as to Mosaic.

Promotional Team
Team Captain: Edna Clark
Members of this group must have reliable transportation and on hand supplies of masking tape and push pins because they help distribute promotional materials through the season such as posters, postcards, flyers, brochures, study guides and other promotional items throughout metro Detroit to advertise upcoming Mosaic concerts and plays, and school tours. Distribution areas includes: Detroit Midtown, Detroit Downtown, Southwest Detroit, Eastside, Westside, Dearborn, Royal Oak, Ferndale, Northern suburbs, Hamtramck, Oak Park, Southfield and more.

Transportation Family
Team Captain:
Group of parents who drive for field trips, special events, Perform-a-thon and other transportation needs. Carpool drivers for rehearsals, special events. This group works closely with Support Services to coordinate multiple transportation needs during the year.
Phone Tree Family
Team Captain: Pamela Morris
Needs six (6) parents to call as needed throughout the school year. It is a phone tree with six branches. Only the most organized and focused volunteers should take this on. This team involves hours of work, and in short time frames, to turn around the calls.

Merchandise Family
Team Captain: Kimberly Tenant
Work with the Sales Marketing Manager behind the merchandise and concessions tables at various events throughout the year; concerts, performances, festivals and outreach opportunities. Merchandise includes T-shirts, CDs and more. This group also collects new names for the mailing list, encourages customers to fill our audience surveys, stay in touch and support Mosaic.

Fundraising Family
Team Captain: TBA
Work registration at Special Events and sell flowers at concerts performances.  Organize an annual social fundraising event for all parents.
