Welcome to Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, an internationally acclaimed, award winning professional performing arts training program which achieves youth development through the arts. Our celebrated national model of youth development, made possible through the generous support of many corporations, foundations and individuals, emphasizes excellence on stage and in life.

We proudly report that over 95% of Mosaic’ Youth Ensemble Artists graduate from high school and go on to college. You can read testimonials from our alumni about their Mosaic experiences and their successes after Mosaic.  Onstage and backstage, the young artists refine their crafts, producing first-rate theatrical and musical performances and presenting a full season of performances at the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Max M Fisher Music Center and the General Motors Mosaic Theatre. Essential to Detroit’s cultural community, Mosaic offers professional live theatrical and musical performances for diverse audiences throughout the metropolitan area. Mosaic has been chosen to perform at numerous major events, including the final game at Tiger Stadium, the Mayoral Inauguration, visits from the United States President and Super Bowl XL Festivities.

Mosaic offers its Metro Tour designed to entertain audiences all over Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw and Macomb Counties in a variety of venues and through Mosaic’s National Touring Company, some of the theatre’s most popular plays are available for touring nationally and internationally, and have performed on the world’s stages. The young artists of Mosaic's acclaimed Next Stage Company are commissioned to create and perform original pieces by many prominent organizations. Comprised of Mosaic’s most experienced actors, singers and technicians, Next Stage has performed at conferences, private events, televised events and other venues, locally, nationally and internationally. Consider booking Mosaic for your special event! Mosaic’s training is provided at no charge to hundreds of Detroit area youth annually. As our program continues to grow, we strive to maintain a sustainable organization so that young people may continue to benefit from the success of our national model well into the future.

There are many ways to support Mosaic’s young artists. In our Mosaic Shop we have tee-shirts and hats and CDs. Proceeds from sales support the sustenance of Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit.
