Delashea Mya Strawder, Mosaic’s new Artistic Director of Music Programs, served as Mosaic’s Associate Music Director, under Kenneth Anderson from 2003 – 2009. She is an alumni of the Mosaic Singers, and was part of the Mosaic Youth Ensemble from 1999 – 2002. In addition to her work at Mosaic, Delashea has studiedvoice and choral music with Frances Brockington, Betty Lane, Dr. Monica Griffin, and Dr. Norah Duncan IV to name a few. She is currently a student in the Music Business Program at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Delashea composes music for choral and solo performers, loves a capella music and vocal jazz, and has a passion for helping young people discover their voice. She is excited about the opportunity to give back to the program that helped her to nurture her passion for music. DeLashea is a member of the Grammy University Network (Grammy U), a unique and fast-growing community of college students who are pursuing a career in the music industry; and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA); and in the summer of 2008, was employed as a member of Radio Disney’s Road Crew. She has performed with the Wayne State and Western Michigan University Choirs, and performs locally as a Soul artist.
